The administration committee is responsible for providing the most effective club
meeting possible. Areas of focus should include the club meeting, program, risk
management, reception, fellowship, and inter-club relations as well as other areas
the committee may deem pertinent.
The committee should implement projects on the arts, business affairs, citizenship,
civic improvement, international understanding, literacy, public affairs, safety,
or help for senior citizens and disabled persons. Popular projects include meals
on wheels, issues forums, Special Olympics and youth exchange.
The committee on finance is responsible for preparing a budget of estimated income
and expenses for the submission to the Board of Directors, conducting a yearly audit,
as well as any recommendation it may have on financial matters of the club.
The committee on fund raising is responsible for securing the funds necessary to
meet the requirements of the budget.
The committee should strive to increase membership according to the standards provided
in the bylaws. The committee should consider all Membership Applications and submit
to Board. Conduct orientation and induction ceremony for new members and promote
regular attendance by all members at club meetings.
The committee will provide appropriate music accompaniment at meetings, will prepare
the Song Book, and will provide all necessary music leadership for the club.
The public relations committee is responsible for helping to ensure that the public
receives, through media and other means, the objects, goals, programs, and achievements
of Kiwanis International and the club. It is also responsible for the yearly club
scrapbook.
The committee on human and spiritual values is responsible for developing programs
that encourage spiritual development and stress the values of human companionship,
growth, compassion and comfort. In all activities that are planned, the committee
will be guided by the universal principal of "doing for others what you would want
them to do for you."
The committee shall devise ways and means to establish and support K-Kids (elementary)
Builders Clubs (middle school), Key Clubs (high school), Circle K (College) and
Aktion Clubs for adults with disabilities. This committee should encourage and promote
the activities for all of the above clubs that are sponsored by the club.
